Top 3 Thursday: Books that made me laugh out loud

This week we’re talking books that made us laugh out loud (out with ‘LOL’ and in with breathing really hard out my nostrils as I try not to laugh on public transport!)

1. A Man Called Ove – Fredrik Backman

I read this for the first time this year off the recommendation of a friend and it didn’t disappoint! Both heartfelt but also genuinely funny, this was a fabulous read that I’d recommend to anyone looking for a funny, meaningful read.

2. The Book Ninja – Ali Berg and Michelle Kalus

I recently received this from Simon & Schuster publishers and even though I’m only currently 120-odd pages in, I’ve already found myself chuckling in bed a few times while reading it (much to my non-reading partner’s amusement).

While I can’t yet comment on the book as a whole, it’s shaping up  to be a really enjoyable and hilarious read.

3. The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy – Douglas Adams

I’d be remiss not to mention the classic Hitchhikers Guide series, an absolute treasure of a ‘trilogy in five parts’ and the ultimate biting-back-laughter-on-the-train reads! There are so many scenes and one liners in this series that get me going, Adams really is a master of the craft!
