Happy Thursday book friends!
This week we’re chatting about our favourite authors. I’ve gotta be honest this is hard because there are just so many great authors and books in the world, so you can take the below list with a grain of salt because I have a terrible memory and feel like I’m going to miss out on someone!
1. Agatha Christie
I know, starting off so obscure, maybe you haven’t heard of her? 😉
I’m yet to find a Poirot-led book that I didn’t love by Christie, and I’ve got a few more sitting on my shelves waiting to be read. There’s a cute little second-hand bookshop near me that sells Christie paperbacks for $2 (or 3 for $5) and I’m probably due for a visit soon…
2. Markus Zusak
It’s a bit exciting to have an Aussie author on this list. I have really enjoyed reading Zusak’s books and am even more excited to read Bridge of Clay in the next month or so. It’s releasing in October but you can preorder a copy now through Book Depository or Booktopia (AU/NZ)
3. Alexander McCall Smith
Yeah, yeah I know he’s featured a lot lately. I just adore the vibrant stories he weaves, with colourful characters and so much heart. It’s impossible not to fall in love with the world of the No 1. Ladies Detective Agency! When I eventually get around to them, I hope his other stories are just as charming ♥

Markus Zusak will ALWAYS be on my list ❤❤
The only Agatha Christie book I’ve read is And Then There Were None in 7th grade and it blew my mind XD

I love this post and look forward to future T3Ts! Alexander McCall Smith looks really interesting, and The Book Thief is one I haven’t read but KNOW I need to. I got some leather-bound Christies from my library recently and was super stoked to add them to my shelf. Here’s a link to my Top 3 authors!

Yay, those are some good authors! In terms of adaptations, my favourite AC detective is Poirot. Martin Suchet will always be him for me, how hard other actors may try :). It’s hard to choose a favourite for the books but I recently read one with Tommy and Tuppence in it, and was struck by their adorable banter. Which is your favourite book by Christie so far?
