November Reads | Wrap Up

December 2, 2019December 1, 2019 ~ acosyreader ~ 2 Comments

Alright, alright, I know I've been pretty slack on the review front lately, but I'm making up for it by giving you mini reviews of ALL the books I read in November in one bite-sized post. Hooray! If you need some gift inspiration for the bookworm in your life, you might just find some gems … Continue reading November Reads | Wrap Up

October Reads | Wrap Up

November 1, 2019October 31, 2019 ~ acosyreader ~ 1 Comment

It’s been a while since I did a proper wrap up post I think – sorry! Work and life has been a little bit more hectic this year and my wrap ups have been spotty at best, but I’m BACK for one and we’ll see if I can finish the year strong 😉 I’ve also … Continue reading October Reads | Wrap Up

July Reads | Wrap Up

August 11, 2019August 11, 2019 ~ acosyreader ~ Leave a comment

A bit of a belated wrap up but it's still the first full week of August (just) and you know what, that totally counts in my books! (And anyway, who's counting?). Not a great reading month this time around, with two (yep TWO) books I put down without finishing. Including the very first one I … Continue reading July Reads | Wrap Up

June Books Wrap Up
July 1, 2019July 1, 2019 ~ acosyreader ~ Leave a comment

This had been one of my best reading months in a long time, most likely owed to the fact there was a long weekend, and I had a bad bout of the cold which left me in bed mostly just reading! That, and the books were stellar 😉 Any Ordinary Day - Leigh Sales I … Continue reading June Reads | Wrap Up

May Reads | Wrap Up

June 3, 2019June 2, 2019 ~ acosyreader ~ 1 Comment

Boy am I glad May is over! One of the saving graces of this month was that at least the books I read were good... Check out what I finished this month 🙂 Educated - Tara Westover I actually got a review of this one up! As you know, that's a pretty big feat for … Continue reading May Reads | Wrap Up

Happy May! We are living it up in Japan and loving exploring new places (and eating delicious food). We've got a bunch of time on trains lined up for our travel between cities, which has been a great way to unwind, and pick up a book or my knitting. I'm interested to know how you … Continue reading April Reads | Wrap Up

March Reads | Wrap Up

April 6, 2019April 6, 2019 ~ acosyreader ~ Leave a comment

It was one of those months were I felt like I had read nothing, but actually I managed to flick through quite a few books this March! Which is impressive considering how many weekends were taken up with frisbee & birthday celebrations 😛 The Next Person You meet in Heaven - Mitch Albom I really … Continue reading March Reads | Wrap Up

Today I'm celebrating beautiful things - 4 years with my love, looking after myself with my first CBT session, and these gorgeous covers that fill me with joy (as do the contents) 🥰 🙏🏻 What beautiful things do you want to celebrate this week? ❤️ • • • #BeautifulCovers #RedCovers #RedBooks #BeautifulBooks
A belated congratulations to @leigh_sales for taking out the @thewalkleys Book Award this year 🎉 ANY ORDINARY DAY was an outstanding read that buoyed my heart at a time I really needed it this year. Full of warmth and emotion, but still tackling the big questions and diving into the side of trauma we don't see - what happens after something absolutely turns your life upside down? How do you go on? Such a captivating book that I took so much away from (evidenced by my heavy tabbing 😉) Highly recommend picking it up if you're one of the few who haven't already, PLUS it's been released in small format, just in time for Christmas 🎁 • • • #AnyOrdinaryDay #LeighSales #WalkleyBookAward #NonFictionReads
So. Many. Books. On. My. TBR. How do you handle TBR overwhelm? 🐧 Where do I start the reading? Can someone pay me to go off grid and read for like 3 weeks? Questions I ask myself every time my cart of books threatens to topple over and drown me 🙈 🐧 Thank you to @penguinbooksaus for adding to the pile at our #SydBookBrunch last month! 🥰 I'm still recovering 🤗 • • • #DearGirls #OliveAgain #FullDisclosure #PenguinBooks #BookPile
What are your "cosy time" essentials? I love a couch, blanket, hot tea, and cookies (with a book, of course!) 🍪 Early post tonight as we're on the plane about to take off for Hobart 🎉 • • • #HyggeHome #CosyReading #ChristmasBreakfast
